Barrel

The barrel is filled with water up to 57% of its capacity. When we add two buckets will be filled to 73% of its capacity. What is the volume of a barrel, if the volume of the bucket is 12 liters?

Result

V =  150 l

Solution:

x = 0.57 V
x + 2*12 = 0.73 V

0.57V-x = 0
0.73V-x = 24

V = 150
x = 1712 = 85.5
