Car and cyclist

The cyclist started from town at a speed of 18 km/h. After 1 hour 30 min started the car from town and caught up with the cyclist in 50 minutes. How fast was a car?

Correct answer:

v =  50.4 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

18·(1+30/60+50/60)=v·50/60

50v = 2520

v = 2520/50 = 50.4

v = 252/5 = 50.4
