Disc

The circumference of the disk is 78.5 cm. What is the circumference of the circular arc of 32° on the disc?

Correct answer:

o =  6.98 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

p=78.5 cm  p =  2 π r r=p/(2π)=78.5/(2 3.1416)12.4937 cm α=32   o=p 360α=78.5 36032=45314 cm=6.98 cm

Dear Sir/Madam,
this question has greatly confused my otherwise brilliant students. The question is clearly asking for the circular arc, not the perimeter of the sector. please rectify your answer
