1. Mushrooms
For five days, we have collected 410 mushrooms. Interestingly every day we have collected 10 mushrooms more than the preceding day. How many mushrooms we have collected during 4th day?
2. Right angled triangle
Hypotenuse of a right triangle is 17 cm long. When we decrease length of legs by 3 cm then decrease its hypotenuse by 4 cm. Determine the size of legs.
3. Heating plant
Workers dump imported coke at heating plant. On the first day used half of the amount, the second day three quarters the rest and on the third day left 120 tons. How much coke they dump at heating plant?
4. Three dice
When you throw three dice was the sum total of the dice 10. The yellow dice fell one eye more than on the red and brown fell 3 eyes less than red. How many eyes fell on every dice?
5. Cubes - diff
Second cubes edge is 2 cm longer than the edge of the first cube. Volume difference blocks is 728 cm3. Calculate the sizes of the edges of the two dice.
6. Book
Alena read a book at speed 15 pages per day. If she read twice as fast she should read a book four days earlier. How many pages have a book?
7. Toys
The toy shop sold the same number of balls for 62 CZK and skipping ropes for 34 CZK. They income was 576 CZK. How many sold balls and how many skipping ropes?
8. Debt
Joe and Caryl have a debt of \$100,500. Joe makes \$90,000 per year, and Caryl makes \$35,000 per year. How much should both pay to zero out the debt fairly, based on their salaries?
9. Meat
Half a kilogram of pork and three-quarters of a kilogram of beef cost total 5.1 USD. One quarter of a kilogram of beef and 1 kilogram of pork cost 4.9 USD. Determine the price of 1 kg of each type of meat.
10. Class - boys and girls
In the class are 60% boys and 40% girls. Long hair has 10% boys and 80% girls. a) What is the probability that a randomly chosen person has long hair? b) The selected person has long hair. What is the probability that it is a girl?
11. The city
At the end of 2010 the city had 248000 residents. The population increased by 2.5% each year. What is the population at the end of 2013?
12. Shoes and slippers
Shoes were three times as many as slippers. If shoes were cheaper by 120, it would be twice as expensive as slippers. How much cost shoes and how much slippers?
13. Saving
The boy has saved 50 coins € 5 and € 2. He saved € 190. How many were € 5 and how many € 2?
14. More money
Lenka has €4.8 more than Natalia. Who will have more and how much, when Lenka give Natalia €2.5?
15. Water reservoir
The cuboid reservoir contains 1900 hectoliters of water and the water height is 2.5 m. Determine the dimensions of the bottom where one dimension is 3.2 m longer than the second one.
16. Johnny
Johnny bought for 28 CZK flower to mum. He that spent 4/7 of the money saved. How much money he had saved? How much money left him?
17. Cinema
How many rows of seats are in the stands, if you know that the first row has 24 seats and the last 50 seats and each subsequent row has two seats more than row before? How many seats are in the stands?
18. Trapezoid v3
The isosceles trapezoid has the angle at a firsst base 40 degrees less than the angle at second base. How large angles has this trapezoid ?
19. Coins
In ticket maschine were together one hundred coins. They were only 20 and 50 cent coins. The sum total was 29 euros and 60 cents. How many were in ticket maschine coins and which type?
20. Bundle of candies
In the store has 168 chocolates, caramel candies 224 and 196 hard candies. How many packages we can do and how many of candies will be in each package?
