Tower

Charles built a tower of cubes with an edge 2 cm long. In the lowest layer, there were six cubes (in one row) in six rows. In each subsequent layer, always one cube and one row less. What volume in cm3 did the whole tower have?

Correct answer:

V =  728 cm3

Step-by-step explanation:

a=2 cm  V1=a3=23=8 cm3  n=6 6+5 5+4 4+3 3+2 2+1=91  V=n V1=91 8=728 cm3
