1. Chester
Chester has a piece of wood measuring 1 2/3 cm he needs to cut it to pieces measuring 3/4 cm long. How many pieces of wood did Chester cut?
2. A jewelry
A jewelry store has 20 grams of gold. If a pair of earrings need 1/4 gram of gold, how many grams are not used?
3. Ratio of volumes
If the heights of two cylindrical drums are in the ratio 7:8 and their base radii are in the ratio 4:3. What is the ratio of their volumes?
The radius of the sphere we reduce by 1/3 of the original radius. How much percent does the volume and surface of the sphere change?
5. Castle tower
The castle tower has a cone-shaped roof with a diameter of 10 meters and a height of 8 meters. Calculate how much m² of coverage is needed to cover it if we must add one-third for the overlap.

10. Barter
There is exchange trade on the market. We know that for two sheepskins we get three goat skins. We also know that for six rabbits skins we get four goat skins. How many rabbit's skins we get for four sheepskins?
The school received money from the sponsor. She used one-third to buy computers, half of the rest to adjust the gym. It still has 4000 euros left. How many euros did the sponsor donate to the school?

The profit of a company increased by 25% during the year 1992, increased by 40% during the year 1993, decreased by 20% in the year 1994 and increased by 10% during the year 1995. Find the average growth in the profit level over the four years periods?

Ben eats approximately 2400 calories per day. His wife Sarah eats 5/8 as much. How many calories does Sarah eat per day?
