Boaters - boat

In summer Marek and Lukáš go on trips in a motor boat. On calm water the boat moves at a speed of v0 = 16 km/h. Both boys set out on a voyage along a river, the water in it relative to the bank moves at a speed of v1 = 4.0 km/h. They set off from the boathouse upstream. After two hours they reached a waterfall, where they turned around and sailed back.
a) What speed relative to the bank did the boat move at during the voyage against the current
b) What speed relative to the bank did the boat move at during the voyage with the current
c) What is the distance of the waterfall from the boathouse
d) How long did Marek's and Lukáš's journey from the waterfall to the boathouse take

Final Answer:

a =  12 km/h
b =  20 km/h
s =  24 km
t2 =  1.2 h

Step-by-step explanation:

v0=16 km/h v1=4.0 km/h  a=v0v1=164=12 km/h
b=v0+v1=16+4=20 km/h
t1=2 h s=t1 a=2 12=24 km
t2=s/b=24/20=1.2 h
