4. Scientific notation Approximately 7.5x105 gallons of water flow over a waterfall each second. There are 8.6x104 seconds in 1 day. Select the approximate number of gallons of water that flow over the waterfall in 1 day.
5. Cylinder melted into cuboid A circular cylinder has area of cross section 56cm2 and the height is 10cm the cylinder is melted and made into a cuboid of base area 16cm2. What is the height of the cuboid?
6. Water tank What is the height of the cuboid-shaped tank with the bottom dimensions of 80 cm and 50 cm if the 480 liters of water reaches 10 cm below the top?
7. A pipe A radius of a cylindrical pipe is 2 ft. If the pipe is 17 ft long, what is its volume?
8. Sphere floating Will float a hollow iron ball with an outer diameter d1 = 20cm and an inside diameter d2 = 19cm in the water? The iron density is 7.8 g/cm 3. (Instructions: Calculate the average sphere density and compare with the density of the water. )

11. Bottles The must is sold in 5-liter and 2-liter bottles. Mr Kucera bought a total of 216 liters in 60 bottles. How many liters did Mr. Kucera buy in five-liter bottles?
12. Sphere VS Find the surface and volume of a sphere that has a radius of 2 dm.
13. The aquarium The aquarium has a capacity of 18 liters. What is its height when the square bottom is 8 2/3 cm long? The radius of the sphere we reduce by 1/3 of the original radius. How much percent does the volume and surface of the sphere change?
15. Area to volume If the surface area of a cube is 486, find its volume.
16. A cylindrical tank A cylindrical tank can hold 44 cubic meters of water. If the radius of the tank is 3.5 meters, how high is the tank?
17. Insect spraying In 600 ml of spraying is 5 ml of an active ingredient. How much is it per miles?
18. Iron density Calculate the weight of a 2 m long rail pipe with an internal diameter of 10 cm and a wall thickness of 3 mm. The iron density is p = 7.8 g/cm3.
19. Bucket The bucket half filled with water weighs 5.55 kg, the full bucket weighs 9.85 kg. How much does the bucket weigh?
20. The pool The pool contains 220 m3 of water. The pool can be emptied either: a) 10 hours of pipe B and 8 hours of pipe A, or b) 10 hours of pipe A and 7 hours of pipe B. How many cubic meters of water will flow in 1 hour from pipe A and how many from pipe B?
