How do we solve fractions step by step?

Divide: 24 : 6/8 = 24/1 · 8/6 = 24 · 8/1 · 6 = 192/6 = 6 · 32 /6 · 1 = 32
The first operand is an integer. It is equivalent to a fraction 24/1. Dividing two fractions is the same as multiplying the first fraction by the reciprocal value of the second fraction. The first sub-step is to find the reciprocal (reverse the numerator and denominator, reciprocal of 6/8 is 8/6) of the second fraction. Next, multiply the two numerators. Then, multiply the two denominators. In the following intermediate step, cancel by a common factor of 6 gives 32/1.
