# Trapezoid

How long are the trapezoid bases with area 24 cm2 and height 3 cm. One base is 3 times longer than the shorter.

Result

a =  12 cm
c =  4 cm

#### Solution:

(a+c)/2*3 = 24
a = 3c

3a+3c = 48
a-3c = 0

a = 12
c = 4
