# Picture frames

Destiny has to make 24 picture frames. Each frame uses 16 3/8 wood trim. 2/3 were completed on the first day. How many inches of wood trim is needed to complete the remaining frames on the second day?

Correct result:

x =  131 inch

#### Solution:

$a=16 + \dfrac{ 3 }{ 8 }=\dfrac{ 131 }{ 8 }=16.375 \ \text{inch} \ \\ n=24 \ \\ \ \\ n_{2}=(1 - \dfrac{ 2 }{ 3 } ) \cdot \ n=(1 - \dfrac{ 2 }{ 3 } ) \cdot \ 24=8 \ \\ \ \\ x=n_{2} \cdot \ a=8 \cdot \ 16.375=131 \ \text{inch}$
