# Two gardeners

The garden with an area of 81 square meters was divided by two gardeners in a ratio of 4: 5. How much did the second gardener get more first?

Result

x =  9 m2

#### Solution:

$S=81 \ \text{m}^2 \ \\ a=\dfrac{ 4 }{ 4+5 } \cdot \ S=\dfrac{ 4 }{ 4+5 } \cdot \ 81=36 \ \text{m}^2 \ \\ b=S-a=81-36=45 \ \text{m}^2 \ \\ \ \\ x=b-a=45-36=9 \ \text{m}^2$
