Metal rails

Dad needs to improve the edges of the wooden boxes - to be reinforced with metal rails. How many cms of rails will he need if the box has the shape of a prism with the length of the edges 70cm 70cm and 120cm?

Result

x =  1040 cm

Solution:

a=70 cm b=70 cm c=120 cm  o=2 (a+b)=2 (70+70)=280 cm  x=2 o+4 c=2 280+4 120=1040 cm x1=4 (a+b+c)=4 (70+70+120)=1040 cm x1=xa=70 \ \text{cm} \ \\ b=70 \ \text{cm} \ \\ c=120 \ \text{cm} \ \\ \ \\ o=2 \cdot \ (a+b)=2 \cdot \ (70+70)=280 \ \text{cm} \ \\ \ \\ x=2 \cdot \ o + 4 \cdot \ c=2 \cdot \ 280 + 4 \cdot \ 120=1040 \ \text{cm} \ \\ x_{1}=4 \cdot \ (a+b+c)=4 \cdot \ (70+70+120)=1040 \ \text{cm} \ \\ x_{1}=x
