# Bridge piers

One quarter of the bridge pier is sunk into the ground. Two thirds are in the water. Protruding above the water is 1.20 m long. Determine the height of bridge piers.

Result

x =  14.4 m

#### Solution:

x/4+2/3 x + 1.2 = x

x = 14.4

x = 725 = 14.4
