Ratio + motion problems - math problems

On solving problems and tasks with proportionally, we recommend hint rule of three. Rule of three (proportionality) help solve examples of direct and inverse proportionality. Three members make possible to calculate the fourth - unknown member.

1. Motion problem
From Levíc to Košíc go car at speed 81 km/h. From Košíc to Levíc go another car at speed 69 km/h. How many minutes before the meeting will be cars 27 km away?
2. Cyclist
Cyclist goes uphill 10 km for 50 minutes and downhill minutes for 29 minutes, both applied to the pedals same force. How long he pass 10 km by plane?
3. Car range
Calculate the maximum range of car, if you can spend 10 euros, price of diesel is 1.55 Eur/l and car consumption is 3 l/100 km.
4. Car
Car is going 95 km per hour. How long distance goes in 1 minute?
5. Map
On the tourist map at a scale of 1 : 50000 is distance between two points along a straight road 3.7 cm. How long travels this distance on a bike at 30 km/h? Time express in minutes.
6. Dog
Man goes with a dog on a long walk 17 km from the house. Man is walking at speed 4.9 km/h and a dog that constantly running between house and man at 12.6 km/h. How many kilometers will run the dog when they reach their destination?
7. Hurry - rush
At an average speed 7 km/h I will come from the school to the bus stop for 30 minutes. How fast I need to go if I need to get to the bus stop in 21 minutes?
8. Sprinter
Sprinter runs the relay 4 x 400 m to the handover at speed 42 km/h. A second runner is at the start of the handover area 20 m long and runs when it is the first sprinter at distance 10 m. Calculate the speed at which the second runner must run in order to.
9. Sputnik
The first Earth satellite was flying at speed 8000 m/s. At that rate he circled the earth in 82 minutes. Jet flies at an average speed 800 km/h. How long would it take circle the earth round?
10. Runner 2
Marian run 12 meters in 8 seconds. How far would Marian run for 70 seconds, if still run at the same pace?
11. Tourist
A tourist walked an average speed of 3.5 km/h route in 6 hours. Calculate how many hours he would have passed at an average speed of 5.5 km/h.
12. Bicycle gear
The pedal bicycle wheel has 56 teeth and a rear 20 gear tooth. How many times does the bicycle wheel turn when you make 20 turns of the pedal wheel?
13. A large
A large gear will be used to turn a smaller gear. The large gear will make 75 revolutions per minute. The smaller gear must make 384 revolutions per minute. Find the smallest number of teeth each gear could have. [Hint: Use either GCF or LCM. ]
14. Journey 5
A man has to do a journey of 84km in 3 hours. He travels the first 30km at 20km/hr. At what rate must he travel the remaining distance to complete his journey on time?

We apologize, but in this category are not a lot of examples.
