# Solutions, mixtures

We have 2 liters of 20% solution available. How much 70% solution do we need to add to it to get a 30% solution?

Correct result:

x =  0.5 l

#### Solution:

2•0.20 + 0.70 • x = 0.30(2+x)

2•0.20 + 0.70 • x = 0.30•(2+x)

0.4x = 0.2

x = 1/2 = 0.5

Our simple equation calculator calculates it.
