Fulfilment of an order

A textile company deployed 6 looms to fulfil an order. On these 6 looms together it is possible to weave the amount of cloth requested by the customer in 18 days. After 2 days, the company put 2 more looms into operation, which were also involved in fulfilling the same order. All looms work at the same speed.

Calculate how many days in total it will take to fulfil the order.

Final Answer:

t =  14

Step-by-step explanation:

6·18 = 6·2 + (t-2)·(6+2)

8t = 112

t = 112/8 = 14

t = 14
