In six crates are 45 kg of apples. In five crates were the same amounth and in one crate was 3 kg of apples more. How many kg of apples were in each crate?

Correct result:

a =  7 kg
b =  10 kg

Solution:

5a+b=45
b = a+3

5•a+b=45
b = a+3

5a+b = 45
a-b = -3

a = 7
b = 10

Our linear equations calculator calculates it.
