No,fraction and ratio are both different terms. But can be converted each to other. Example fraction 1/2 is equivalent to 1:2 ratio and equivalent to rational number 0.5.
A fraction is a number that names part of a whole or part of a data. The denominator represents the total number of equal parts the whole is divided into. Whereas ratio is a comparison of two quantities.
