Courtyard 2

The castle courtyard has the shape of a rhombus, whose one side is 17.5 m long and the distance between opposite sides is 12 m. They want to pave the courtyard with rectangular tiles. The sides of the tile are 40 cm and 20 cm, one tile weighs 0.6 kg. Calculate how many tiles are needed to pave the courtyard. Can all the tiles be transported at once by a car that carries at most 1.2 tonnes of load?

Step-by-step explanation:

a=17.5 m h=12 m  S=a h=17.5 12=210 m2  x=40 cm m=40:100  m=0.4 m y=20 cm m=20:100  m=0.2 m  S1=x y=0.4 0.2=252=0.08 m2  n=S/S1=210/0.08=2625
m1=0.6 kg m2=1.2 t kg=1.2 1000  kg=1200 kg n=2625  m=n m1=2625 0.6=1575 kg  m>m2 w=0
