# Reason - math word problems

1. Cents
Julka has 3 cents more than Hugo. Together they have 27 cents. How many cents has Julka and how many Hugo?
2. Two workers
Two workers together execute some work in 10 days. The first worker would have done himself in 20 days. How many days would have done himself a second worker?
3. Lion or virgin
We toss coin, every throw fits lion or a virgin with equal probability 1/2. Determine how much at least we have to make throws that with probability 0.9 lion fell at least once.
4. Four-digit number
Find also a four-digit number, which quadrupled written backwards is the same number.
5. A family
A family of four pays for garbage collection per year 1800 Kč. How many crowns a year the waste company get from the house where lives 93 people?
6. The confectionery
The confectionery sold 5 kinds of ice cream. In how many ways can I buy 3 kinds if order of ice creams does not matter?
7. The city
In the city is 2/4 of women married to 3/4 men. What percentage of townspeople is single (not married)?
8. Holidays
Of the 35 students of class were 7 on holiday in Germany and just as much in Italy. 5 students visited Austria. In none of these countries was 21 students, all three visited by one student . In Italy and Austria were 2 students and in Austria and Germany
9. Students
The class has 22 students. 2 of which has assesement of 2. Count of assesement of 1 is three times more than count of students with assesement of 3. How many students has assesement of 1 and how many students has assesement of 1.
10. School year
At the end of the school year has awarded 20% of the 250 children who attend school. Awat got 18% boys and 23% of girls. Determine how many boys and how many girls attend school.
11. Athletes
Athletes standing in rows of eight. Ivan estimated that athletes are more than 120. Peter claimed that there are fewer than 130. Both are right. How many are athletes?
12. Log
Worker cut his thick log to 6 pieces for 30 min. How long he cut log to 12 pieces?
13. 5 pumps
Five pump to pump 3 hours 1600 hl of water. How long pumped same amount of water 4 pumps?
14. Pocket
Mirka spent on a trip for gifts half pocket. For the third remain money bought a bagel. Six euros left her. How many euros had Mirka in pocket?
15. Mushrooms
For five days, we have collected 410 mushrooms. Interestingly every day we have collected 10 mushrooms more than the preceding day. How many mushrooms we have collected during 4th day?
16. Barrel 3
Barrel with water has a weight 118 kg. When we get off 75% of water it has a weight 35 kg. How many kg has empty barrel?
17. Raffle
How many raffle tickets must be purchased by Peter in raffle with issued 200 tickets if he wants to be sure win at least 3 price? In the raffle draws 30 prices.
18. The plan
Students have collected 48 kg of paper which is 16% of the plan. How many kg of paper still have to collect to fulfill the plan?
19. The classroom
In the seventh class the number of boys and girls are at a ratio of 4:5. Boys are 16. How many total students are in the classroom?
20. Store
Peter paid in store 3 euros more than half the amount that was on arrival to the store. When he leave shop he left 10 euros. How many euros he had upon arrival to the store?
