Family

Family has 4 children. Ondra is 3 years older than Matthew and Karlos 5 years older than the youngest Jane. We know that they are together 30 years and 3 years ago they were together 19 years. Determine how old the children are.

Result

O =  12
M =  9
K =  7
J =  2

Solution:

O=3+M
K = 5+J
O+M+K+J=30
O-3+M-3+K-3=19

M-O = -3
J-K = -5
J+K+M+O = 30
K+M+O = 28

J = 2
K = 7
M = 9
O = 12
