The chimney

How high is the chimney if we see it from a distance of 60 m at an angle of 42°?

Correct answer:

h =  54.0242 m

Step-by-step explanation:

x=60 m α=42    tan α = h : x  h=x tanα=x tan42° =60 tan42° =60 0.900404=54.024=54.0242 m
