Unknown numbers

The sum of two consecutive natural numbers and their triple is 92. Find these numbers.

Correct result:

a =  11
b =  12

Solution:

b = a+1
a+b + 3(a+b) = 92

b = a+1
a+b + 3•(a+b) = 92

a-b = -1
4a+4b = 92

a = 11
b = 12
