# IS trapezoid

Isosceles trapezoid arm measured 35 cm. Height is 30 cm and middle segment is 65 cm. Determine length of its bases.

Result

a =  83.03 cm
c =  46.97 cm

#### Solution:

$a+c = 2 \cdot 65 \ \\ a = c + 2 \sqrt{ 35^2 - 30^2 } \ \\ \ \\ a = p + \sqrt{ 35^2 - 30^2 } = 83.03 \ \text{cm}$
$c = 2\cdot 65 - a = 46.97 \ \text{cm}$
