The perimeter 3

The perimeter of a rectangle is 35 cm. The ratio of the length to its width is 3:2. Calculate the dimensions of the rectangle

Result

l =  10.5 cm
w =  7 cm

Solution:

p=35 cm n=3+2+3+2=10  d=p/n=35/10=72=3.5 cm  l=3 d=3 3.5=212=10.5 cmp=35 \ \text{cm} \ \\ n=3+2+3+2=10 \ \\ \ \\ d=p/n=35/10=\dfrac{ 7 }{ 2 }=3.5 \ \text{cm} \ \\ \ \\ l=3 \cdot \ d=3 \cdot \ 3.5=\dfrac{ 21 }{ 2 }=10.5 \ \text{cm}
w=2 d=2 3.5=7 cmw=2 \cdot \ d=2 \cdot \ 3.5=7 \ \text{cm}
