# Milk package

Milk is sold in a box with dimensions of 9.5 cm; 16.5 cm and 6.5 cm. Determine the maximum amount of milk that can fit into a box. Coating thickness is negligible.

Result

V =  1.019 l

#### Solution:

$a = 9.5 / 10 = \dfrac{ 19 }{ 20 } = 0.95 \ dm \ \\ b = 16.5 / 10 = \dfrac{ 33 }{ 20 } = 1.65 \ dm \ \\ c = 6.5 / 10 = \dfrac{ 13 }{ 20 } = 0.65 \ dm \ \\ 1 \ l = 1 \ dm^3 \ \\ V = a \cdot \ b \cdot \ c = 0.95 \cdot \ 1.65 \cdot \ 0.65 \doteq 1.0189 = 1.019 \ \text{ l }$
