Fruits 2

An apple costs 7p and a melon costs seven times more. How much will 6 apples and 2 melons cost

Result

t =  1.4

Solution:

$a=0.07 \ \\ m=7 \cdot \ a=7 \cdot \ 0.07=\dfrac{ 49 }{ 100 }=0.49 \ \\ \ \\ t=6 \cdot \ a + 2 \cdot \ m=6 \cdot \ 0.07 + 2 \cdot \ 0.49=\dfrac{ 7 }{ 5 }=1.4$
