Perimeter of the rectangle is 72 cm. Calculate the length of the sides that are in the ratio 3:5.

Result

a =  13.5 cm
b =  22.5 cm

Solution:


2(a+b)=72
5a = 3b

2a+2b = 72
5a-3b = 0

a = 27/2 = 13.5
b = 45/2 = 22.5
