# Right angle

If a, b and c are two sides of a triangle ABC, a right angle in A, find the value on each missing side. If b=10, c=6

Result

a =  11.662

#### Solution:

$b=10 \ \\ c=6 \ \\ a^2=b^2+c^2 \ \\ A=90^\circ => a>b>c \ \\ \ \\ a=\sqrt{ b^2+c^2 }=\sqrt{ 10^2+6^2 } \doteq 2 \ \sqrt{ 34 } \doteq 11.6619 \doteq 11.662$
