Eight masons

Eight masons will plaster a wall with an area of 1440 m2 in 9 days. They work 8 hours a day. How much area will plaster 6 masons in 4 hours?

Result

S =  60 m2

Solution:

m=1440/(8 9 8)=52=2.5 m2/m/h  S=m 6 4=2.5 6 4=60=60 m2m = 1440 / (8 \cdot \ 9 \cdot \ 8) = \dfrac{ 5 }{ 2 } = 2.5 \ m^2/m/h \ \\ \ \\ S = m \cdot \ 6 \cdot \ 4 = 2.5 \cdot \ 6 \cdot \ 4 = 60 = 60 \ m^2
