# Calculate

Calculate the surface of a regular quadrilateral prism whose base edge is 2.4dm and the height of the prism is 38cm.

Result

S =  4800 cm2

#### Solution:

$a=2.4 \ dm=2.4 \cdot \ 10 \ cm=24 \ cm \ \\ c=38 \ \text{cm} \ \\ \ \\ S=2 \cdot \ a^2 + 4 \cdot \ a \cdot \ c=2 \cdot \ 24^2 + 4 \cdot \ 24 \cdot \ 38=4800 \ \text{cm}^2$
